GAME 1: NORTHFIELD CARDINALS 7 ABSECON 5
The Northfield Cardinals took a game 1 lead in the quarterfinals of The SJSSBL playoffs 7 to 5 over The Absecon Outlaws on Monday night in extra innings. The Cards needed some late game heroics down 4 to 1 in the sixth. Justin Klemick and Brett Uhing had huge RBI base hits to tie and briefly put The Cards ahead 5 to 4 in the 6th. The Outlaws tied it in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs on an RBI infield single by Jailen Heard. The Cards then came back in the top of the 8th to win it on another RBI double by Brett Uhing and an insurance RBI single by CJ Brown. Anthony Capasso picked up the win in relief going 3 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits. The Outlaws had a big two run homer by Brian Perez in the 3rd to put them up 3 to 1. The Cards and Outlaws are right back in action on Tuesday night at Birch Grove Park at 7. Hope to see everyone there.
