Buena Blue Dogs @ Northfield Cardinals **GAME REPLAY**

Michael Dodd Jr was brilliant on the pitcher’s mound on Monday, as Dodd Jr threw a 7 inning complete game no-hitter to lead The Northfield Cardinals past The Buena Blue Dawgs 3-2.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Dodd Jr struck out seven, and walked 2 while the  Blue Dawgs pitchers’ Noah Robinson and TJ Cheli fanned seven Cardinals and limited them to just 5 hits.

The Cardinals  opened up the scoring in the first inning.  Juan Mejia drove in one with a two out RBI single. The Cards would added two more runs in the bottom of the 4 to go up 3 to 0.

Buena scored two runs in the top of the 7th inning to make things interesting on 2 errors and walk but Dodd Jr was able to escape further damage to complete the no hitter and earn the win.

Tommy Burns led The Northfield Cardinals with two hits in three at bats.

Dodd Jr improved to 3 and 0 on the season. The Cards are now 4 and 2 and Buena is 2 and 1 after losing their first on the season.

The Cards are back in action on Tuesday night hosting The EHC Knights while The Buena Blue Dawgs travel to Ocean City to take on The Water Dogs.
