The Absecon Outlaws had all cylinders firing on offense on Thursday, winning big over The Egg Harbor Township Eagles 9-1
The Outlaws got on the board in the first inning when Erik Grady tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Absecon notched three runs in the third inning. The Outlaw’s big bats in the inning were led by fielder’s choices by Pat Oakes and Cj Ergie and a single by Tim Marker.
Max Keegan picked up the win for Absecon. Keegan went five innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out seven. Jailen Heard and Tyler Apt came in out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Tim Marker, Bill Hauer, and Jailen Heard all had 2 hits for The Outlaws. Marker also drove in 2 runs.
The Eagles’ Brian Wright drove in the lone run. Absecon evens their record at 1 and 1 and EHT drops to 0 and 3. Absecon is up next on Tuesday at Galloway and EHT is at EHC on Wednesday.
