The Northfield Cardinals defeated The Egg Harbor City Knights 2 to 0 in SJSSBL action on Tuesday night. Anthony Capasso was outstanding in the win throwing a complete game shut out allowing just 3 hits while striking out 7. Josh Wagner was the tough luck loser for the Knights pitching a complete game allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. CJ Brown was outstanding for the Cards going 3 for 3 with a solo homer in the 6th and was outstanding behind the plate. The Cards improve to 5 and 2 and The Knights drop to 3 and 3. The Cards return to action on Thursday as they host the Galloway Mustangs and The Knights host The South Jersey Surf on Wednesday night.
