The Egg Harbor City Knights defeated The Buena Blue Dawgs in a big SJSSBL show down on Wednesday night 2 to 1. Matt Veneri was outstanding on the mound picking up the complete game victory going 7 innings giving up 1 unearned run on 6 hits striking out 9. Matt Rivera hit the go ahead solo homer in the bottom of the 4th which turned out to be the difference in the game. Johnny Monell was 2 for 3 for Buena. The Knights improved to 6 and 5 and Buena drops to 6 and 2. The Knights are back in action tonight at Ocean City. Buena visits The Galloway Mustangs on Friday night.
