The Ventnor Baysox defeated The Northfield Cardinals in a rain shortened contest on Wednesday night 10 to 3.

• Billy Wheatley drove in five on two hits to lead Ventnor. Wheatley drove in runs on a double in the second and a double in the fourth.
• The Baysox secured the victory thanks to six runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught by Ventnor Baysox was led by Wheatley, Joe Farrell, Alejandro Rosado, and Angel Murray, all knocking in runs in the inning.
• Phil Santa Maria picked up the victory for Ventnor. Santa Maria went five innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out eight and walking one. Ventnor improves to 2 and 0 on the season and The Cards dropped to 0 and 2.  Ventnor is at Galloway on Friday and The Cards host Ocean City of Thursday.
